Once they arrived at the hospital, House sent Cameron after the test results and headed to his office by himself. He needed a minute or two to think before he went to see Wilson and Dixie. Hopefully the tests from the scene would give them some answers. Despite his terse comments to Wilson's face, he was very concerned about saving his best friend's future wife and their unborn child.

When he sat down at his desk, the message light on his cellphone was blinking. He picked it up and dialed to hear the voicemail. Once he heard that it was Caitie on the other line, he felt his stomach shrink. He was still swaggering from the night before with Cameron, and now this came up. With a sigh he dialed Caitie's cell phone number and waited for her to pick it up.
